Vaughan was born sleeping 4th October 2006. Brother of Charlie Anna, Alexander and Paige.
At the 12 week scan we were told that there was an increased chance of Down Syndrome. We went to St Thomas' Hospital for a baby heart scan. His heart was developing as it should have been for a baby of that age.
At 33wks, I hadn't felt much movement. I went to the hospital and had a scan done. My baby had died. It broke my heart. Earlier on we had been told we could have this test done, that test, abortion. I wanted this baby, I didn't care he might have Down Syndrome. We wasn't told baby could die so late on.
I was booked in two days later to be induced. I had to go home and tell my kids that their little baby had died. They were devestated. I went in, and later gave birth to a gorgeous little boy. He weighed 5lb 2oz. He had tiny tuffs of blonde hair. He was so delicate though. I spent the next two days in hospital. I couldn't believe I'd be walking out without him. I walked out with a couple of photos and footprints. How unfair is that.
We all think of our little Vaughan every day and wish he was here with us.

Hiya littleman, I hope grandad Tom is looking after you well. It's been 18 months since you were first put in my arms. I wish I could go back to that day, holding you, looking at you, and telling you how much we love you. It's still so painful. I wish so much you could have stayed here with us all. It seems now that everyone has forgotten you, but I havent, i never will. You will always be with me. I love you so much Vaughan. I always will...Sleep tight.
